People have more than one number. Rather than a second contact record that splits their history, keep every number and email on the one person and pick which is the main one.
Add a number or email
- Select Contacts in the left menu and open the person.
- In their details on the left, find Phone and select + Add phone. For an email, use + Add email.
- Type the number or address.
- Give it a label, such as Mobile, Work or Home, so your team knows which is which.
- Save. You can keep up to eleven numbers on one contact. The same labels can’t be used twice on one person.
Choose the main one
The main number is the one Kanamé texts and calls by default, and the main email is where emails go.
- Next to the number or email you want as the main one, select Mark as primary.
- Save. If you never mark one, the first one you added is treated as the main one.
Call a different number
From the contact page, select the phone icon next to any of the numbers to call that one. Texts and automated messages still go to the main number.
Where to go next
- Add a contact: adding someone from scratch.
- Answer your messages in one inbox: where their replies land, whichever number they use.
