Sometimes an email needs a second pair of eyes: a partner, a bookkeeper, a teammate. When you email a contact from Kanamé you can CC or BCC anyone, the same as in Gmail or Outlook.
Add a CC or BCC
- Open Conversations in the left menu and select the person.
- At the bottom, make sure the channel is set to Email.
- Select CC or BCC at the right-hand end of the To line.
- Type the address, or start typing a name to pick one of your contacts. Add as many as you need.
- Write your email and select Send. CC means everyone can see who was copied. BCC means the copied person gets the email, but nobody else can see they did.
Good to know
- The copied address is not added as a new contact. The conversation stays under the person in the To line.
- If you copy someone who is already one of your contacts, the email still only appears in the main recipient’s conversation.
- If you’ve synced your Gmail or Outlook, the CC and BCC carry over to your own inbox too.
- When someone replies to an email with copies on it, the reply goes to everyone. You can’t drop a CC part-way through a thread; start a fresh email instead.
Where to go next
- Answer your messages in one inbox: the basics of reading and replying.
- Sync your Gmail or Outlook email: send from your own address.
